Character Rules
*Try filling out the Mary Sue Test. If your score was high, maybe consider re-working your character. firefox.org/news/articles/651/1/The-Original-Mary-Sue-Litmus-Test/Page1.html
*Fill out the bio completely.
*You may be something other than Gargoyle. But we're picky and critical.
*No other Disney Character. Gargoyles Universe only.
*Goliath Chronicles NEVER happened, but the Marvel comics, and the Dark Horse comics have.
*You may not be related to a character without getting permission from the player.
Playing Rules
*If you're in an active thread, please post at least once every two weeks. We're pretty lax about that though. Life happens.
*However, if you are going to be away, please try to let us know.
*Please type in full sentences when applying. No L33t, and no "L8r" "Ur" ect.
*No Otakuspeak. For the love of god.
*The rpg is written in story format:
"I will shoot you!", Demona screamed as she pulled a gun from behind her wing.
Thoughts are written in italics:
I wish I was dead thought Brooklyn, bitterly.
*When posting, please put the characters present in the subject. Example: "A good plot (Brooklyn, Elisa)"
*Please change threads when the plot requires it. Think of each thread as a chapter of a story. Example: 13 post ago, the subject was "Lex has spark plugs" and involved Lex fixing Elisa's car. Now he's hiding from Matt Bluestone. "Lex has spark plugs" is no longer relevant, so it's time for a change i.e. "Hide & Seek".
*Please post in depth posts. Try to get into the character's mind. There's no limit to the size a post can be, but if the majority of your posts are:
'"ok! I'll get on that!" She turned to walk off into the Clock Tower. ' Then there's something missing there.
*No powergaming/godmoding. No perfect characters. Flaws are good, flaws are human.
*NO auto hits
Don't post like this:
"Thailog grabbed the boy by the arm and in a fit of rage pulled his arm clean off and then whacked him over the head with it."
An auto hit is when one player attacks, and decides the outcome. If attacking, the victim has to choose whether the attack is successful- like this:
"Thailog, in a fit of rage, reached for the boy's arm, intending to pull it clean off and whack him over the head with it."
Then the boy's player would get to post if the move was successful.
"The boy moves out of the way just in time to avoid the attack."
*You may not kill another persons' character without first asking the player.
*If you wish to rp sexual content, please play it in a separate thread list or in PM/IM. Some of us don't wish to be forced to read your nookie.
*Swearing in general is all right, however, please keep it in character.
*There's a three strikes you're out policy on rules and characters. Do not oblige and you will be banned from the rp.
*We will ban any players whom can't play like nice little children.
*Violence is good!
*Mature audiences only.
